Chi-chi's Story

Cody received Chi-chi as a gift from the Make-A-Wish Foundation at the end of April. These pictures were taken at the end of May, and she was still little! She weighed about 2-2 1/2 pounds and was quiet for a puppy. Next year my family is going to breed her and I get a puppy (I already put in my order). She loves everyone, but seemed to recognize my Mom's, mine and Cody's voices the most. It was fun to have them come down for a long weekend.

Introduction

Corey grew up going on multiple river trips every summer, even competing in the Junior Olympics on the Kayaking team. I on the other hand, did not grow up on the water at all, and had to adjust to his love of water. I still do not know how to swim well; he is a fish in the water.

One of the best family vacations we went on was floating the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon the summer of 2003. Not many people get to speak of the beauty of the Canyon from that vantage point, and we had a blast. I took 6 rolls of film, some black and white and some color, of the entire trip, trying to get unique pictures and some pictures every day. We were on the river for 18 days, and I wouldn't have traded it for a trip around Europe! Last summer, we went on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River in Idaho for a week, and had a great time. Here in a week, we embark on the San Juan River in Utah, another week-long trip. It's quite an exciting vacation and we will keep you posted.
